Well I don’t know about you but this year has flown by. I thought I would have had so many chances to write my blog but I haven’t. There has been so much going on with the magazines that time has just been so tight. So as I end this year I think of what I have achieved. Working my ass off basically to bring a magazine locally in my two favourite places has been a dream come true and no matter how much hard work it has been, honestly worth every minute.

So what do I feel about Interiors at Christmas? Well it is a cosy time and I am still loving the paper decorations that had a fashionable flair last year. The wow factor drama come from the starburst lights as they look so simple but very effective and classy. Available from Rockett St George and other places.

Setting up an independent magazine I have found that the high street is changing so much. Where once we had independents selling bread and meat, we now have vegan bakeries and deli’s where food is such high quality allowing us a wider choice. Lots of workshops happen locally in these places and it is so good to see. Consumers are shopping even more independently this Christmas and there has been real growth which I believe will just continue even more.

Only one week to go until the big day so this time for me is about enjoying the build up now. What other time of year can you put a film on and crack open the baileys on a Tuesday night? Enjoy feeling festive and don’t feel bad about having me time as it is the one time where everyone wants to switch off and focus on family.

For the first time, I may invest in matching Xmas PJ’s for everyone, not sure if this will happen but I am thinking it might make a cool photo shot! So sad I know. I have bought my cat a cushion with her face on it 🙂 Going for the total cheesy option this year.

On my to do list is going to see Mary Poppins Returns, as the original is one of my all time favourite films so I can’t wait for some family time doing that. What things have you got planned? Whatever you do have a fabulous time and I promise to try and blog more as I love this space and I love sharing my interior world.

Bye for now x
